Kristan E. Ware serves as the director of bands at Bradley Central High School. Ware is originally from Toms River, New Jersey. After living there for 18 years and the completion of high school, Ware moved to Cleveland, Tennessee to attend Lee University. In 2003 he received a Bachelor of Music Education with an emphasis on trumpet. After graduating from Lee, he taught general music at Ocoee Middle School, as well as band and general music at North Whitfield Middle School, before deciding to go back to his alma mater and work toward a Master’s degree. Mr. Ware graduated with a Master in Music Performance with an emphasis on trumpet performance from Lee University in the spring of 2007. He has maintained a private studio with as many as 20 students at a time, in addition to performing with such renowned artists as Phil Driscoll, Roy Roman, Edwin Santiago from the group Salvador, Larnelle Harris, Michael English, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Group The Impressions, and the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps as a featured soloist. While at Lee, Mr. Ware was a member of the Wind ensemble, Symphonic band, Lee Singers, Jazz ensemble, Pep band, Chapel Praise Team, Second Edition, Brass quintet, and performed in the Honors Recital in 2006. Ware is a member of the International Trumpet Guild and has served as President of the Pi Xi Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, the national men’s music fraternity.
